Grappa Stravecchia is emblematic of the culture, care, and art of distilling five marcs of Trentino grapes: Marzemino, Teroldego, Merlot, Moscato, and Chardonnay. Distilled in a water bath using pot stills, it is then aged in small barrels of cherry, ash, oak, and robinia, each imparting its own unique characteristics of fragrance, aroma, colour, and flavour. The ageing process follows the rhythms of nature—from moon to moon—over 18 months.
As it matures, the bouquet intensifies, becoming more ethereal and harmonious. The taste softens, losing its initial angularity, and develops a rounded, elegant character with a silky mouthfeel. The colour deepens into warm amber tones. The Master Distiller carefully oversees the maturation, ensuring the perfect balance between wood and Grappa is achieved. This is how Le Diciotto Lune Marzadro—a refined, sip-worthy Grappa—is created.
